A three-day workshop at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany, March 4th-6th 2020, on novel developments in collective animal behavior. A specific focus of the workshop shall be the link between individual sensing and cognition on the one hand, and emergent collective behaviors on the other hand. I particularly hope for a fruitful exchange and discussion on current challenges in bringing together behavioral biology, mathematical modeling and neuroscience in the field of collective animal behavior.

Invited plenary speakers:
- Iain Couzin (Uni Konstanz / MPI Animal Behavior)
- Nir Gov (Weizmann Institute)
- Benjamin Judkewitz (Charité Berlin / BCCN Berlin)
- Gonzalo de Polavieja (Champalimaud Neuroscience Program)
- Ariana Strandburg-Peshkin (Uni Konstanz / MPI Animal Behavior)
- Guy Theraulaz (CNRS, Research Center on Animal Cognition, Toulouse)
- William Warren (Brown University, USA)

Plenary speakers:
- Cristian Huepe (CHuepeLabs & Northwestern University, USA)
- Mehdi Moussaid (Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin)
